Biography

Dear Sir, Mr. Radomir Djurkovic was born in 1949 in Sokolac (Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina). He attended the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, and acquired the title of teacher of mathematics. He had his first professional contact with sculpture back in 1974. He is a member of the Association of "Artists of Romania". He won the first prize in the Milica od Macve competition, "Milica `94". He was a personal guest of the exhibition of Dragan Lubarda, held in February 1981. years. After that, he had several exhibitions at the Belgrade Cultural Center in cooperation with the aforementioned prominent artist Lubard. He organized his last exhibition in 1995, attended by Serbian Patriarch Pavle himself, as well as several prominent Serbs of the time. From that moment until today, Radomir Djurkovic, ceases to be actively involved in art, and continues to make wooden sculptures, creating them away from the public eye.
