Biography

Zarko Stojilkovic is a fine artist born in Cuprija, Serbia, where he graduated in graphic high school. Ever since he was a teenager, Zarko used all of his free time to paint. He learned the art craft from the recognized ones fine artists and professors all over his district. Love for painting, exceptional dedication and discipline, have contributed that to this day, about twenty years later, Zarko painted on hundreds of compositions, thousands of landscapes and portraits in oil, as well as a large number of religious paintings. All of this influenced Zarko`s paintings to find their customers in countries across Europe - Russia, Belarus, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Germany, France, Montenegro, Macedonia, but also in Asia - Zark`s paintings have made their way to art lovers in China and Japan. For seven years, Zarko has been spending a third of the year painting the features of the Budva Riviera and the city of Bar. From 2004 to 2010 he was a member of the private art colony FilanArt. Zarko is one of the founder of the Native Club of Fine Arts Cuprija. In his hometown, recognized as talented and ambitious artist, he has had one solo and multiple collective exhibitions in the the Horeum Margi Museum. Looking for new artistic adventures and opportunity to express his creativity, Zarko moves to Kragujevac in September 2017, where from March to June in 2019 he painted one of his best works - a portrait of H.R.H. the Crown Prince Alexander and Princess Katherine Karadjordjevic. In addition to realism, Zarko shows his artistic qualities through the production of compositions, of which the most famous Memories of the End of One Beginning, Jupiter, Stairs, Remnants and Golden Night, as well as through religious themes or portraits of saints/patriarchs (painted over 90 icons, as well as Madonna with Jesus, Jesus Christ, Madonna, St. John the Baptist, Serbian Patriarch Paul, St. Nicholas).
